  • Borrower must be a Connecticut resident attending a non-profit, degree granting institution of higher education in the United States; or a resident of Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island or Vermont attending an eligible Connecticut state or non-profit, degree granting institution of higher education.
  • Co-signer must be a resident of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Vermont.

  • All approved borrowers have equal access to the same fixed rates.
  • 0.25% ACH interest rate reduction available.
  • 2% Origination Fee may apply.
  • Interest-only, fully deferred and immediate principal & interest repayment options
  • 5 year, 10 year, and 15 year repayment term options
  • Minimum loan amount: $2,000
  • Maximum annual loan amount: student’s net cost of education
  • Cumulative maximum graduate principal balance outstanding: $250,000
  • Students may qualify via future expected earnings, as well as current income or cosigner income
  • No prepayment fee
  • No application deadline

The MyCHESLA Grad Loan will expand to include all graduate and professional degree programs. The expanded program is expected sometime in June, though the exact timing has not yet been confirmed.
