NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
State of Connecticut Higher Education Supplemental Loan Authority
Revenue Bonds (CHESLA Loan Program)
Notice is hereby given that a telephonic public hearing will be held by the State of Connecticut Higher Education Supplemental Loan Authority (the “Authority”) on April 15, 2024, commencing at 10:00 a.m. at the toll-free number below, for the purpose of providing a reasonable opportunity for interested individuals to express their views, either orally or in writing, on the issuance of the above-captioned bonds (the “Bonds”).
The Authority is empowered under the Connecticut Higher Education Supplemental Loan Authority Act (Sections 10a-221 through 10a-248, inclusive, of the General Statutes of Connecticut) to issue tax-exempt revenue bonds, subject to approval following a public hearing, as required by Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (the “Code”). The Authority seeks approval to issue its Revenue Bonds (CHESLA Loan Program) in an aggregate amount not to exceed $35,152,500, in one or more series, to (i) provide funds for its CHESLA Loan Program for the financing of loans for eligible college, university or graduate students who are residents of the State of Connecticut, or students who are enrolled at eligible colleges, universities, graduate schools, or the Connecticut Alternate Route to Certification Program located in the State of Connecticut, (ii) to fund one or more Special Capital Reserve Funds, (iii) to fund capitalized interest, and (iv) to pay costs of issuance of the Bonds. The subject of the hearing will be the issuance of the Bonds.

Persons desiring to make a brief statement regarding the above-referenced proposed issue of Bonds should give prior notice in writing to the Authority at least 24 hours prior to the hearing to Josh Hurlock, Assistant Director, at jhurlock@chesla.org. Written comments may be submitted to the Authority at the address shown below. If additional information is required in advance of the hearing with respect to the Bonds, please contact the Authority at the address shown below. The Authority expects to conduct the hearing at the date and time set forth via teleconference only, using the telephone number listed above.
The public hearing described herein is to be held solely for the purpose of complying with the requirements of Section 147(f) of the Code.
